A young couple with two children and a baby on the way called upon Brown Design Group to design their new home in Clovis, California. A gentle balance of soft neutral colors and rich textures defines each space in the home.

The kitchen and living room flow together in an open-plan layout to create a comfortable, family-friendly gathering space. A double island in the kitchen provides space for both food preparation and entertaining, while the living room offers plenty of room to unwind.

Playful colors and patterns take the stage in the children’s room and nursery, yet also hold enough sophistication to last as the children grow. BDG steered clear of overdone, traditional color palettes in favor of rich magenta and orange for the children’s room, and teal and light green for the nursery.
